Meet Michelle Aubee, M.Ac., Dipl. Ac., L.Ac.
Licensed Acupuncturist | Nationally Board-Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture
Michelle Aubee is a licensed acupuncturist and nationally board-certified Diplomate of Acupuncture practicing in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. She earned her Master's degree in Acupuncture from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in New York City, graduating with academic honors and completing more than 3,500 hours of academic and clinical training.
Michelle spent the first seven years of her career practicing in northern New Jersey, where she treated patients of all ages and developed a particular passion for women's health, fertility, postpartum care, pediatrics, and pain management. In 2025, she relocated with her family to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, where she continues to provide individualized acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments.
Her approach to acupuncture is rooted in the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with an emphasis on understanding each patient as a whole person rather than simply treating individual symptoms. She believes that health is influenced by the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and environmental well-being, and that effective treatment begins with understanding the underlying patterns contributing to imbalance.
Michelle is passionate about helping individuals and families achieve better health through personalized care, patient education, and the integration of traditional Eastern medicine into modern life.
Her clinical interests include women's health, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, pediatric care, musculoskeletal pain and injuries, stress and anxiety, digestive disorders, sleep disturbances, weight management, allergies, and facial rejuvenation.
In addition to acupuncture, Michelle incorporates a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cupping, gua sha, tui na (Chinese therapeutic massage), electroacupuncture, auricular therapy, and herbal liniments. For children, she offers gentle, noninvasive techniques such as shonishin, pediatric tui na, magnet therapy, Manaka hammer, and therapeutic tuning forks.
EDUCATION & CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM), New York City
Michelle earned her Master's degree in Acupuncture from PCOM, graduating with academic honors. Her education included more than 3,500 hours of comprehensive academic and clinical training in acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and complementary therapeutic modalities.
Veterans Affairs Hospital, New York City
During her clinical internship at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in New York City, Michelle treated veterans experiencing a wide range of health concerns, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), chronic pain, musculoskeletal injuries, neuropathy, diabetes, hypertension, and side effects associated with chemotherapy and other medical treatments.
This experience strengthened her understanding of complex health conditions and reinforced the value of incorporating acupuncture into a comprehensive approach to patient care.
CONTINUING EDUCATION & SPECIALIZED TRAINING
Michelle believes that learning is a lifelong commitment, particularly in a field as rich and expansive as East Asian medicine. She is dedicated to continuing her education, exploring different treatment approaches, and refining her clinical skills to provide thoughtful, individualized care to her patients.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture — Virginia Doran
Michelle studied with Virginia Doran, a pioneer and internationally recognized educator in facial rejuvenation acupuncture, and earned her certification through Doran's specialized Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture training program.
Through this training, Michelle developed a deeper understanding of how acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine can be used to support facial muscle tone, circulation, skin health, and natural rejuvenation while addressing the internal factors that influence outward appearance.
Integrative Acupuncture & Advanced Assessment Techniques — Roberto Andrade, Florham Park, New Jersey
Michelle studied with Roberto Andrade, an integrative practitioner and founder of the AMP Method, whose approach incorporates neuro-kinesiology, acupressure, laser stimulation, and principles drawn from several complementary therapeutic systems.
Her studies with Roberto introduced her to additional perspectives on assessing patterns of imbalance and integrating acupuncture with other complementary approaches, including concepts drawn from Sujok acupuncture and nervous system-focused techniques.
This experience broadened Michelle's understanding of integrative treatment approaches and reinforced her interest in evaluating the body as an interconnected system.
National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA)
Michelle is certified in the NADA auricular acupuncture protocol, a specialized five-point ear acupuncture treatment commonly used as supportive care for stress, emotional trauma, addiction recovery, and nervous system regulation.
Pediatric Acupuncture & Noninvasive Therapies
Michelle has pursued training in gentle, noninvasive pediatric treatment techniques, including shonishin, Manaka hammer, magnet therapy, pediatric tui na, and therapeutic tuning forks.
She particularly enjoys working with children and adapting treatments to their individual needs, ages, and comfort levels. These specialized techniques allow her to introduce younger patients to East Asian medicine in a gentle and approachable way.
TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY
Michelle believes acupuncture is more than a treatment for pain or illness. It is an opportunity to better understand the body, recognize patterns of imbalance, and support long-term health.
As a mother of three, Michelle has a particular appreciation for the physical and emotional demands of motherhood and the importance of accessible, compassionate care for women and families. She is especially passionate about supporting women through fertility, pregnancy, and the postpartum period, as well as introducing children to the benefits of East Asian medicine from an early age.
Her goal is to create a welcoming environment where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered to take an active role in their health.
